I know this from the inside.

I've spent more than 20 years in corporate roles across Risk, IT and Programme Management. From the outside it looked like capability. Inside, it took a lot of effort: strategies built around a brain I didn't yet understand, and evenings spent recovering so I could do it all again.

Being diagnosed as an adult, first with ADHD and then AuDHD, didn't change the job. It changed the question. I stopped trying to fix a brain that didn't need fixing, and started changing the conditions: small, practical shifts at work, and better ways of looking after myself around it.

Feeling better doesn't have to mean walking away from your job.

Does this sound familiar?

"Why does life feel so hard?"

Running on empty

Capable, busy, exhausted, and not sure why it costs you so much.

Hyper aware of the room

Reading every face and adjusting to fit.

Tried everything

Books, lists, planners helped for a while. Then became another thing to keep up with.

Overthinking everything

Replaying conversations, questioning decisions, and wondering if you got it wrong.

Knowing what to do… but not doing it

Understanding what needs to happen, just can't seem to get started.

Feel things deeply

Feedback, conflict or rejection stay long after the moment has passed.
